Starting with the $239 G400, the company announced a triple rear camera system with a 48-megapixel primary shooter, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. This is a solid camera system for a phone at this price. It features a 6.6-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is extremely rare for a sub-$250 phone. It comes with a respectable 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This phone is scheduled to drop in Q2 2022.
Nokia has even cheaper phones coming soon, including the $149 G100. It has a 6.5-inch display without a lower refresh rate, a large 5,000mAh battery, and a fingerprint sensor. Its specs are modest, but for under $150, you get a pretty solid phone. This phone is also slated for a second-quarter release.
The Nokia C-series is also getting new phones. There’s the $99 C100 and the $119 C200. They’re both modest phones, but they’re super affordable. These are coming in Q1 2022.
Finally, Nokia has a throwback phone called the 2760 Flip, which is coming in the first quarter of 2022. It’s a clamshell flip phone following the design of the original 2760. It’s $79, so it definitely won’t break the bank for anyone who doesn’t like smartphones.
All five phones are coming to the United States, so it appears Nokia is making a big push into North America with its latest phones. We’ll have to wait and see if they catch on, but there should be a market for them with how affordable they are.
